Confessions Of A Weary Traveler

Friday, June 12, 2009, 1 p.m.

Man I'm tired. I should be getting to Chicago in 3 hours yeah!! I have basic

ally slept on and off for all the morning and afternoon and boy am I pooped. I have maybe had a whole like 6 - 10 hours sleep for the past 3 days. I vaguely remember waking up at one point and saying goodbye to Laverne and Shirley lol.

So last night I was reading Breaking Dawn (the last of the Twilight books) for like the umpteenth time in hopes that it would help me fall asleep. It didn't. I ended up having to stop reading it cause it has in the beginning of the book (about 200 pages in) Bella keeps getting morning sickness and they were kinda descriptive. So it sucked! I had hardly had much to eat the past 3 days besides the dinner and my cookies and water and the train is kinda bumpy cause we hit a storm. So it was like I was getting sympathy morning sickness too! I definitely didn't need that lol. I eventually went downstairs and found my luggage to grab some Nyquil and took some so I can fall asleep. I finally fell asleep around 4 or 5 am.

So both the first night and last night I found myself in tears. The thing is so many thoughts and faces and things are running through my head that I cant pin it down to just one person or thing that is upsetting me. I wonder if leaving is causing me to be emotional lol... When Im stressed I'm pretty good at suppressing emotions so this could just be me finally letting some of it out. I do have some things I need to work through so this moving is coming at a good time to help get me some peace of mind so I can work through these issues.

Man, I just want to get up and take a shower. I have already got up and brushed my teeth in one of the bathrooms like 3 times lol. 

Trains have a fun atmosphere I don't know if I could do this with getting a sleeper car. I agree it would be nice to sleep in the sleeper car but the meeting people in coach and etc is the fun part! This train takes a strange route we have been  through Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa and then Illinois. If I remember correctly when I looked into driving I don't think we would have driven through any of those states but whatever its fun!

When I got to Denver I called Brenda (my aunt) to let her know where I was at. She told me Brittany, Justin and Jenn where there at her house! I miss going to family outings at her house and I was a tiny bit jealous! But i know that living in CA is not an option for me so I guess ill just be jealous they are so close to the munchkins! It also kinda sucks too cause I know that no one will ever come visit me so if I want to see my family I have to go home. I have to spend the money ... not fair.
